Dear Students,

I take your education seriously.  I want you to make something of yourself.  I want you to become a positive, contributing member of our society.  The way I can help you do this is by helping you communicate better.  I will help you write so that others may understand your unique ideas more clearly; I will help you read critically so that you can understand what others have to say; and finally, I will facilitate class discussions so that you can become a better public speaker.  When you write and speak, I want people to value what you say. I want to challenge the way you think and help you to package your ideas in a way that will help others learn from you. I will love you in my own unique way and work my best to help you discover yourself.  Please don't be afraid to reach out to me and ask me for help if you need support.  I am a new mother and my son demands a lot from me right now, but I love my career; I love teaching.   I hope that our relationship will be a positive one based on respect and understanding.
